Games and Interactive MediaSilvatya - Seele der Wildnis
Silvatya - Seele der Wildnis is a narrative-driven third-person action RPG produced over three semesters at Stuttgart Media University, bringing together 48 students from nine degree programs — Audiovisual Media, Media Informatics, Computer Science and Media, Advertising, and Mobile Media among them.
The story follows siblings Soraya and Tarek as they experience both sides of a conflict between the forest tribes and an advancing civilization. Soraya fights with daggers, bow, and magic; Tarek relies on sword and shield — giving each playthrough a different combat rhythm as the narrative shifts perspective between them.
As Programming Lead, I led a 20-person subgroup responsible for NPC AI, building out behavior trees and environment query systems to drive enemy and companion behavior across the game's distinct locations. The production used industry-standard tooling throughout — a modular scene architecture, seamless texturing, motion-capture character animation, and spatial audio — to hit a level of polish usually out of reach for a student project.
