Games and Interactive MediaWeltenspringer
Weltenspringer is a hybrid theater production developed at Stuttgart Media University in cooperation with the Stuttgart State Theaters (Staatstheater Stuttgart), combining traditional live performance with real-time virtual production.
Actors on stage are tracked with live motion capture and rendered as animated avatars, composited in real time against LED-wall projections — letting the physical performance and the digital environment respond to each other moment to moment rather than being locked to pre-rendered video.
As Unreal Specialist on a 27-person team, I worked on the real-time rendering and virtual-environment pipeline that turned live mocap data into on-stage avatars and drove the LED-wall content, exploring how theater staging can evolve through real-time animation and VFX.
